  | Our History Mariachi La Barca was founded in 1995 by Jesus Salvador Leon. The Mariachi started with 4 group members, a violin, guitaron, viguela, and a trumpet. They started playing in Lidias Cafe in Palm Ave in Chula Vista, and Later got contracted to play in Casa Guadalajara in 1996. They have also played in El Agave, El Torito, Marisol Nightclub and Restaurant, Casa Salsa, and many more. Mariachi La Barca as been contracted by Sea World for their "Viva La Musica" month. The group has expanded each year to now having 8 group members. 2 Trumpets, 3 violins, guitaron, viguela, and guitar. They currently have a contract with Univision Channel 17 for their Despierta San Diego morning shows. They currently play at Karinas Sea Food Restaurant. Services We are available to play for all your special occasions! We have special music set up or your event or you can request your own list of songs for us to play. We serve the area of San Diego, please call for a quote for us to play in another area. If you would like to listen to our music before contracting us please give us a call to set up an appointment at Karina's Sea Food Cuisine in Chula Vista located on Broadway and Moss, or just stopping in on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays to listen to us play and enjoy the wonderful Sea Food.
